We’ve meticulously designed the MTN SS to be the ideal ultra-light glassing companion—without compromising on performance. At just 20 ounces, the SS delivers incredible stability with a significant weight reduction compared to other tripods on the market.

Crafted with robust multi-layer carbon fiber legs, the innovative design features two leg sections and the newly widened stance, delivering even greater stability and faster deployment—without adding the unnecessary weight, bulk, or complexity of multiple leg sections.

The new shorter carbon fiber center column allows you to get closer to the ground for prone shooting, low-angle glassing, or photography, while still offering a few inches of vertical adjustment. Our 2-way locking mechanisms let you secure the center column at your preferred height in two different ways—or use both for an ultra-secure lock that won’t budge.

The SS is optimized as a sitting-height tripod for varied terrain, even on steep slopes, while still offering a 45.5" max height for kneeling and certain standing scenarios with angled optics. Pair this tripod with our lightweight Fluid Head (kit available) for a total system weight under 2 lbs.
