We've meticulously designed the SS to be the ideal ultra-light glassing companion, yet making no compromises when it comes to performance. At under 20 ounces, the SS delivers incredible performance with a significant weight reduction over other tripods on the market. Crafted with a robust multi-layer carbon fiber leg, the innovative design features two leg sections, delivering improved stability and speed of deployment without adding the unnecessary weight, bulk, and difficulty of multiple leg sections.
The threaded carbon fiber center post allows for a removal so the tripod can be used very close to the ground for shooting or camera angle purposes or to save weight and still have a few inches of vertical adjustment. Our 2-way locking mechanisms allow you to lock the center column to your preferred height in 2 ways, depending on your preference. Or use both for an ultra-secure lock that won't move.
The SS was designed for use as a sitting tripod in varied terrain, even on a steep slope. Although with an angled spotting scope, the 47" maximum height does allow for kneeling and standing in certain scenarios.
